Danbury Grassroots Academy

Danbury Grassroots Academy is a free, year-round youth development program in Danbury, Connecticut that has served 75-80 select at-risk students ages 8-22 since 2006. The academy combines academic support with tennis instruction, character development, and health education in a structured environment. Their program operates from an education and enrichment center on Main Street and uses the public tennis courts at Rogers Park. The organization focuses on improving report card grades, reading levels, high school graduation rates, and establishing career or college paths for participating students.
